Directions to The Dumaine House

We are located in the middle of southern Vermont. Jacksonville is a village within the town of Whitingham. When using the internet for directions you may need to use Whitingham, Vermont (zip 05361). Our zip code in Jacksonville is 05342.

We are 25 miles west of Brattleboro, Vermont, 25 miles east of Bennington, Vermont, and 25 miles north of Greenfield, Massachusetts.

From the south: Follow Rt. 91 north through Conn. and Mass. to exit 26 where you will head west on Rt. 2 (Mohawk Trail) for about 4 miles. At the Colrain/Shelburne road take a right and travel about 19 miles (when you come to the Route 112 intersection, stay North/straight) into Vermont. You will come into the village of Jacksonville, stop at the stop sign and turn to the left on to Rt.100 south. Travel up the hill and then take your second right on to Academy Road. (Turn right before the Candlelight Bed and Breakfast) Follow the telephone poles down to a brown and red house at the end of the road.

From Boston: Follow Rt. 2 west until Rt. 2 merges with Rt. 91. Go south on Rt. 91/2 for one exit and then follow Rt. 2 for 4 miles taking a right on to the Colrain/Shelburne Rd and follow the directions above.

From the east: From Brattleboro follow Rt. 9 west to Wilmington and the junction of Rt. 100 south. Take a left on to Rt. 100 south and follow it into Jacksonville center where you take a right staying on 100 south and head up the hill. Then take your second right on to Academy Road. (Turn right before the Candlelight Bed and Breakfast) Follow the telephone poles down to a brown and red house.
 

From the west:

From Bennington: Leaving Bennington follow Rt. 9 east through to Wilmington and take a right on to Rt. 100 south (DO NOT take rte 100 south in Woodford). Follow 100 south into Jacksonville center and take a right staying on 100 south. Go up the hill and then take your second right on to Academy Road. (Turn right before the Candle light Bed and Breakfast) Follow the telephone poles down to a brown and red house.

From North Adams, Mass.:Take Rt. 8 heading north out of North Adams, this will lead into Rt. 100 north which you follow through Stanford and Readsboro into Whitingham. Continue onto Rt. 100 north until you pass the Whitingham school on your right and then take the next left on to Academy Road after the Candlelight Bed and Breakfast. Follow the telephone poles down to a brown and red house.
