The Dumaine House View our Chapel
The Dumaine House is a year round retreat center offering group facilities and programs for all ages. Our fully restored farmhouse is situated on a 43 acre hillside in the southern Vermont village of Jacksonville. This is a refurbished house with a group living facility that still retains the charm of an old farmhouse. Our home offers a quiet setting for all. The natural beauty of southern Vermont and the interesting and varied recreational opportunities provide added enjoyment to your time with us.

The Kitchen
Our large country kitchen is fully equipped for groups. There is ample counter space for meal preparation and buffet serving. Pots, pans, serving dishes, coffee urns, toasters, a microwave, two refrigerators, a large six burner stove and a barbecue are available. Most of our groups choose to use paper or plastic goods as the cleaning is more efficient.

Main Meeting Area
The largest of our four living room areas is bright, airy and open. It is a very versatile room and can be set up for conferences, games or just relaxing. The large wood burning stove and rustic wooden beams create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. There are three other smaller living rooms available for "breakout" groups.
Dining Area
The dining area is adjacent to the living room. Extra tables can be set up to accommodate larger groups. There are two large decks off the living room. Both are wonderful places to enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding hills.

 The Floor Plan
There are eight bedrooms and 3 sleeping loft areas. The sleeping areas are divided to provide separate areas for boys and girls for younger groups. There are two bathrooms in each of the two areas and a full bath and laundry near the main kitchen. The office and study provide smaller rooms for planning or for small group meetings. We are fully licensed by the State of Vermont.
In the warmer months guests can enjoy hiking, volleyball, horseshoes and a large campfire on our property. During the winter there is some"awesome" sliding, snow shoeing and cross-country skiing right in our back yard.
Guests are welcome to use our copier, fax, easel, telephone, computer, WiFi, VCR's, DVD's,televisions, projectors and large sound system.
